Read. Watch. Listen. Learn.

Read

I am using Goodreads to track my reading, rate books and write some reviews. I have officially read 52 books this year – WHAAAAT?! This month was so busy with life and photography that I only read 2 books, and both were physical books from the Huxley Library. And very different genres.

Books Completed in October: 2 books

  • The Dirty Book Club – Lisi Harrison
    • Huxley Public Library Book Club: October
  • To Love a Prince – Rachel Hauck
    • Saw this on the New Release shelf and picked it based on the cover. I loved reading it.

YTD Total: 52 of 41 books

Watch

  • The Bachelorette
    • I think Bachelor fans need a break! I really like Michelle’s poise and class this season.
  • The Staircase – Netflix Docu-series
    • Adam and I are watching this together. I thought I knew a lot about the case, but seeing it in so much detail has been fascinating.

Listen

I listen to a lot of podcasts, audiobooks, and music. Here are the highlights from the past month.

  • The Rosecast | You know, because the Bachelorette is on.
  • Spotify Playlist | 2020 Recap in preparation for 2021’s personalized playlist

Learn

I love learning new things and am making space for more future learnings.

  • I finally tried screen printing. I have had the supplies to screen print for awhile now. I had 4 onesies to make in the same design and this was the perfect project to try it out on.
  • Halloween festivities are the best in small towns. Grandpa brought down craft store pumpkins for Lexi and him to paint together in their favorite colors – pink and green. We dressed up as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Daisy Duck for a small neighborhood party – filled with great food, fun activities, a studio photo setup and lots of kids. Trick or treating was a successful for our little group of 2 year olds.
  • I started seeing a new therapist. It’s been a difficult couple of months and going back to therapy has been so good for me. I found one closer to my home and she has been so helpful.

Do you decorate for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving?
