Print in Store
You can print your photos anywhere! That’s the beauty of having the digital files. If you have a preferred location or company then you should most definitely print them there. There are also many ways to keep and display your photo prints. Check out this compiled list of places next time you need to print photos.
If you need a couple photos printed quickly, you can print them at Walmart, Target, SAM’s Club or Staples. Although, make sure to verify that you can print and pick up in-store the same day. Many brick and mortar stores are doing away with in-store photo labs and outsourcing printing to either ship directly to you or ship to the store for you to pick up in 3-5 business days. If you are going to use an online retailer to print and ship your photos, there are a variety to choose from that produce higher quality prints than your big box store.
Print from Pass Gallery
Pass Gallery provides a Shop with photo products such as prints (lustre has been a go to paper type), albums, canvases, photo cards and photo books. Pass Gallery Shop is unique in that it shows your photos in the shop samples to help you visualize your photos as actual products – how cool is that?!
Print from Online Sites
Shutterfly is a well-known photo prints and personalized products retailer. You can order calendars, coffee mugs, blankets, puzzles, magnets, etc. You think you can or cannot put a photo on it and they probably have it in their lineup! I personally have ordered many calendars from Shutterfly, and they now offer calendars with a “start from any month” option. *no affiliation
There are MANY online photo prints like mpix, Snapfish, and Printique. This Wired article, “The 5 Best Photo Printing Services” is very helpful in explaining the differences and quality of these online companies.
Create & Print Albums
If you are looking for photo albums, which I highly recommend, you can also look into the follow:
Shutterfly offers photo albums, but those can be very time consuming to create unless you choose a template and allow the magic of the platform to sort your photos into the album automatically. You will have the option to move photos so it is not set in stone.
Chatbooks was recommended to me by my friend, Amanda. They are smaller in size and perfect for toddlers to look through. She tends to make them every 6 months or so. Chatbooks also has an option to connect your Instagram and create a book for you after 60 posts. Now that is an interesting way to save your social memories!
After looking into some other options, this Good Housekeeping article has quite a few of the companies I’ve already listed as good places to order photo books. Pinhole Press has me intrigued with the spiral bound book option as I could see Lexi loving that. (May have to order more photo books soon!)
Print Canvases
Canvases offer a beautiful large print that does not need to be framed. If you are looking for canvas prints, look no further than this article by PhotoWorkout. First, the article gives the top 11 places to order canvases and tips along the way as well as detailed sections about each site.
Adam has a three canvas prints in his office of aerial farming drone shots that he took himself. They are stunning and the quality is great. He has also ordered canvases for some of the farmers he has worked with. Great gift idea!
